Overview
Join our team as a Geotechnical Exploration Project Manager and lead the planning, execution, and oversight of geotechnical drilling investigations essential for critical infrastructure, commercial construction and mining and mineral design and operation. Occasional overnight and day trip travel required. Possible future ownership opportunity.

Duties

• Review project and RFP requests, determine appropriate personnel, equipment and material requirements and prepare project estimates.
• When necessary, perform site reconnaissance, meet with clients or prospective clients and utility representatives.
• Develop and implement exploration plans and load lists and assign appropriate personnel and equipment.
• Apply for and obtain any permits required to complete the assigned projects.
• Brief various team members on the exploration plan and project specifics.
• Administer projects from the office and in the field as necessary to execute and complete assigned projects to ensure a successful outcome.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during field operations and conduct inspection and quality assurance checks throughout exploration phases.
• Order tooling or repair parts as may be necessary to maintain the drills and execute the project.
• Apply engineering/technical knowledge to assist with down-hole problems.
• Apply engineering/technical knowledge to assist mechanics with resolution of structural, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues with the drills.
• Review project data, report records, quantities and invoices for completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor project budgets and profitability and address accordingly.
• Communicate and interact with clients in a professional manner from proposal preparation through invoicing.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Professional Registration as a Civil, Mining or Geotechnical Engineer, preferably in Kentucky.
• Minimum 5 years relevant technical experience.
• Some prior blue collar work experience .
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
