Geotechnical Engineer/Construction Manger
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionThe Mannik & Smith Group, Inc., a respected Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting Company, with offices located in Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia and Alabama, has an immediate opening for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer/Construction Manager with five plus years’ experience in our North Canton, OH office. Candidate must have experience in geotechnical investigations and design and report preparation along with the following:
Key Responsibilities
- Managing field inspection personnel and directing construction quality assurance certification activities, primarily soils and concrete construction
- Review of quality control documents and construction plans
- Preparation of construction drawings and specifications
- Significant construction management interaction
- Direct communication with clients, regulators and contractors
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Candidate must be a team player who works well with other Geotechnical Engineers, material testing, laboratory and drilling technicians, and will work from our North Canton office, with limited field duties.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is required. A Master’s degree and/or registration as a Professional Engineer is a plus.
