Job Title: Geotechnical Driller &(or) Driller Assistant, depending on experience

Salary Range: $17 - $25.00 an hour, depending on experience

Knoxville, TN: Travel is required

Professional Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to driller/field supervisor on all drilling operations using various drilling techniques and equipment

• Aid in the transport, setup, operation, and maintenance of drilling rigs and associated machinery

• Work with direct management and company clients to ensure deadlines and project goals are met and completed with professionalism

• Perform geotechnical testing and data collection in the field, as required

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines

Candidate Requirements

• Willingness to learn and a collaborative attitude

• Ability to travel

• 0-3 years of experience in Geotechnical Drilling, or a related field

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

Must be willing and physically able to perform the demands of this position, such as:

• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions

• Walking over rough and uneven terrain

• Standing up to 8 hours a day, up to 12 hours on occasion

• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-75lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)

• Maneuver field equipment safely

• Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary, hotel lodging is provided, as well as per diem for food. Transportation to job sites from the office is provided.

• Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
