The ideal Geotechnical candidate will have the following experience:
- Strong writing and verbal communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, clients, and contractors
- Planning and Inspecting activities alongside clients, colleagues, and contractors to ensure project structural and/or geotechnical requirements and/or limitations are achieved
- Providing constant feedback to clients, colleagues, and contractors during the planned construction activities
- Documenting construction activities with written reports, construction drawing mark-ups, photographs
- Using AutoCAD software but not required
- Using Slide 2 software but not required
- Using RSlog software but not required
- Using and troubleshooting field equipment such as, sampling tools, moisture-density testing equipment
- Developing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Developing and interpreting geotechnical, structural, and/or environmental field investigations (e.g., monitoring and sampling)
This opportunity requires:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field but not required
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive industrial, commercial and/or highway construction inspection
Certifications
- Moisture-nuclear density DOT training
- EIT/PE but not required
- NICET level 2 or above, but not required
