YOUR ROLE:
As a Generator Installation Tech, your day will start at the shop, then you will head to customer sites within 50 miles of Springfield. You will handle preventative maintenance, such as changing filters, oil, spark plugs, checking batteries, and more. You will also diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical issues on generators. Part of your work will include installing and hooking up home standby generators. Some days you will work on your own, and other days you will work with a small crew, depending on the job.
BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS?
- 2+ years of experience working with generators
- Valid driver's license
- Experience reading manuals and following instructions as well as running a job and troubleshooting challenges
- Knowledge of wiring, 24 – 480 volt systems, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators, bucket trucks, scissor lifts, backhoes, and bobcats
- Ability to climb ladders, work in attics and crawl spaces, and handle extreme weather conditions
COMPENSATION & PERKS:
Pay: $22 – $36/hour
Schedule: You will work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Each day starts at our Springfield shop before heading out to job sites in the service area.
