Your Toolkit Will Include:

  • Multi-entity cash flow management (AR/AP, reconciliations, purchasing)
  • Full-spectrum insurance & risk management
  • Financial reporting, tax coordination, bonus calculations
  • Payroll oversight (including commissions + W2/quarterly filings)
  • Government compliance (USDA, FDA, DOT, etc.)
  • IT, systems, and technology liaison duties
  • Direct involvement in hiring, process improvement, and leadership planning

Required Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills: including pivot tables, linking to external systems, formulas, and data analysis
  • Basic SQL: capable of working with simple queries and integrating data into reports
  • ERP / Accounting Software: Familiarity with SeaTouch or equivalent systems
  • System integration & troubleshooting: Work with IT on credit cards, networks, and POS integration
  • Regulatory Reading & Application: Ability to interpret and operationalize government regulations
  • Technical document creation: such as HACCP plans, SSOPs, GMPs, and Food Defense Plans

Required Accounting & Finance Skills

  • Full-cycle accounting: AR, AP, journal entries, bank reconciliations
  • Financial statement preparation
  • Payroll oversight: including commissions and bonus calculations
  • Tax compliance: W-2s, quarterly tax returns, audit preparation
  • Cash flow management: including transfers, forecasts, and purchase planning
  • Audit preparation: Workers’ Comp, General Liability, USDA/FDA audits
  • Insurance management: Health, P&C, Auto/Trucks, Liability
  • Purchasing oversight: PO approvals, vendor management, major purchasing strategy
