Le Jardin Academy is looking for a General Maintenance Associate (Regular Full-time). Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver’s license. Experience working in a school setting is . Three years maintenance experience, e.g., air conditioning, plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc. Four to five years maintenance experience is . Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. No phone calls, please. Hourly pay range starting at $20.00 per hour.

Job Scope

Responsible for the maintenance of the campuses as directed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs duties campus-wide, as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, include:
    1. HVAC
    2. Lighting
    3. Painting
    4. Landscaping
    5. Inspections
    6. Other light repairs
    7. General Cleaning
    8. Other duties, as assigned
  • Travels to Main and Junior school campuses as needed.
  • Responsible for keeping detailed records of completed maintenance tasks and repairs.

Other Duties

  • Conducts setup for evening and the following morning’s events.
  • Assists as needed with other maintenance activities, or as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Performance Expectations

  • Ability to use Computer Maintenance and Management System (CMMS) to record detailed activities and completed tasks for assigned work orders.
  • Ability to listen, take direction well, and work independently
  • Responds promptly, positively and appropriately to request for assistance or service by Supervisor or others with professionalism and calm demeanor
  • Is a team member, willing to work effectively, cooperatively and collaboratively with others and to share own expertise for the benefit of the school

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays, holidays and evenings.
  • Absenteeism and tardiness disrupt workflow and service and can cause undue hardship on fellow employees. Regular and timely attendance each workday is an essential condition of employment.
  • Observes and abides by Le Jardin academy’s employment policies, acceptable conduct guidelines and established procedures, operational work protocols, and safety procedures.

Education/Experience

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathematical and skills

  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, compose email correspondence, and memos.
  • Must be able to effectively present information in one on one situations.
  • Must be able to add and subtract 2 digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s using weight measurements, volume, and distance.

  • Ability to drive a golf cart and small pickup truck.
