The GCPM Project Controls Senior Manager is responsible for delivering advanced cost control and project analysis support within the Capital Projects organization. This role applies strategic project controls methods to drive effective cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting, while advising Project Managers to meet schedule, scope, and budget objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in monitoring project scope, schedule, cost, and resources against approved funds.
- Prepare and track project ILM funding documents and establish the general ledger account structure (WBS Elements).
- Collaborate with Global Strategic Sourcing to review RFPs and manage change orders through Efinity.
- Generate monthly Total Cost Management (TCM) reports using eBuilder software; ensure Project Manager approval.
- Prepare monthly project accruals and perform quarterly latest estimates (LE) and annual capital/expense budget plans.
- Conduct Monte Carlo risk assessments to define appropriate project contingency.
- Establish and manage project cash flow projections.
- Audit and validate capital project invoices before submission for payment.
- Serve as liaison with Finance, Sourcing, and other corporate functions to resolve vendor or invoice issues.
- Lead and coordinate cost meetings, providing insights and financial updates to project teams.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Degree in Engineering or related field:
- Doctorate + 2 years of project experience
- Master’s + 4 years of project experience
- Bachelor’s + 6 years of project experience
- Associate’s + 10 years of project experience
- High School/GED + 12 years of project experience
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in capital project delivery and engineering or construction project controls.
- Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle from funding through closeout.
- Proficiency in cash plans, forecasting, risk analysis, funding, and change management.
- Practical experience with project management tools such as eBuilder, Efinity, and Microsoft Excel.
