Gas Turbine Rotor technician

Responsibilities & Qualifications of the Gas Turbine Rotor Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembly/disassembly, bladers, balance technicians that have gas or steam rotor experience.  
  • Precision measuring outside/inside diameter up to 80” diameter in some cases. 
    • Precision journal measuring.
    • Seal measuring. 
    • Blade tip measuring.
  • Precision indicator reading on run outs or concentricity of parts and or rotor.  
    • Overhead Crane operation. 
    • Pneumatic & hand (wrenches/hammers) tool operation. 
    • Low speed balance machine set-up/operation/balance experience. 
    • Un-stretch/de-tension through bolts for disassembly. 
    • Stretch or tension through bolts for assembly.
