We are recruiting a Gas Engineer for a long-established engineering manufacturer in Birmingham, offering a total package of £60,000 to £65,000. This is a hands-on, field-based role working with industrial gas-fired equipment, supported by a friendly and down-to-earth engineering team.

This Gas Engineer position offers structured work, full training on specialist equipment and an excellent work-life balance, including a 1pm Friday finish and paid travel time.

Key responsibilities

Carry out planned servicing of industrial gas-fired equipment

Work from pre-planned schedules with clear job information provided

Travel to UK customer sites approximately three days per week

Access technical support from colleagues where required

Support one major annual project involving approximately 12 nights away

Ensure high standards of safety, quality and customer service

Package and benefits

Total package £60,000 to £65,000

Basic salary £45,000

Company car plus paid travel time

£3,000 discretionary bonus

Medical benefit valued at £720

Overtime paid after 8 hours per day, including travel

1pm finish every Friday

About you

Experience as a Gas Engineer in industrial gas or commercial gas settings

Relevant gas qualifications such as ACS, COCN1, ICPN1 or similar are welcome, current or lapsed

Full UK driving licence and UK passport required

Comfortable working in industrial environments including heat, dust, confined spaces and working at height

Strong communication skills and team-focused approach
