Job Title: Gas Engineer\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n Salary: £39,000pa + Benefits + Pension + Van + Fuel Card\n Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours/week)\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nOur client is recruiting for a Gas Engineer to join their team, working on a repairs and maintenance contract for properties across Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary and benefits package.\n\nAs a Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas systems in residential and commercial properties, in line with regulatory standards and company policies.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nConduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and servicing of gas appliances and heating systems.\n\nPerform repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards.\n\nRespond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.\n\nMaintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent.\n\nLiaise with clients and tenants to explain required work and provide maintenance advice.\n\nProvide technical support and guidance to team members when needed.\n\nAny other reasonable tasks as requested by management.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary\n\nPension Scheme\n\n24 days annual leave + public holidays\n\nLife Cover (1.5x annual salary)\n\nEmployee Assistance Program & mental wellbeing app\n\nDiscounts on major brands, retailers, and gym memberships\n\nCycle to work scheme\n\nAccess to a broad range of learning and development opportunities\n\nWho We Are Looking For:\n\nGas Safe Registered (Gas Safe ID)\n\nRelevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications in gas engineering (minimum level 3)\n\nBasic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in construction\n\nExperience in gas appliance installation, maintenance, and repairs\n\nFull UK driving license\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n\nPrevious experience in a similar role within property maintenance or construction\n\nAdditional qualifications in plumbing or heating systems are a plus\n\nKnowledge of building regulations and energy efficiency standards\n\nPlease apply with your up to date CV and Shannen will be in touch
