Job Description
Our client, a well-established leader in the construction and M&E building services industry, is known for delivering high-quality, innovative projects across a range of sectors. They are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to assist in maintenance and project works.\n\nIn this role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and plumbing work on commercial gas systems, boilers, and associated equipment. You will ensure all work is completed in line with Gas Safe regulations and health and safety standards.
The role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills.\n\nCommercial Gas Engineer Package \n\n£45,000 - £55,000 basic salary DOE\nOvertime/call out rota\nOngoing training and development\n22 days holiday + BH\nCompany van\nTablet & phone\nCompany pension schemeCommercial Gas Engineer - Key Responsibilities\n\nPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas systems, boilers, and associated equipment.\nDiagnose and resolve faults promptly to minimise client downtime.\nUndertake reactive repairs to ensure systems remain operational and compliant.\nCarry out a variety of plumbing tasks, including installations, repairs, and troubleshooting in commercial properties.\nEnsure all plumbing work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with regulations.\nAdhere to Gas Safe regulations and other industry standards.\nFollow all relevant health and safety procedures and ensure the safety of clients, colleagues, and yourself on-site.\nWork closely with other engineers and contractors on larger or more complex projects.\nCommunicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless project delivery.\nMaintain detailed and accurate service records, including job sheets and compliance certificates.\nProvide clear reports to management and clients as required.\nAlways represent the company professionally, delivering excellent customer service.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns promptly.Commercial Gas Engineer - Key Skills & Qualifications\n\nProven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.\nGas Safe registered with valid ACS qualifications, including COCN1, CCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1\nStrong technical knowledge of commercial gas systems, boilers, and associated equipment.\nPlumbing experience, including installations and fault-finding in commercial settings.\nFull UK driving licence.Desirable:\n\nExperience with additional HVAC systems or electrical work.\nTraining or certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH).\nFirst Aid certification.Streamline Search is a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the United Kingdom.
