Madisons Recruitment are currently recruiting for a  Gas Engineer to join our clients team working on a permanent basis across the West & East Midlands area. \n\nDuties:.\n\nAttend service and reactive breakdowns to fault find, diagnose and repair in a timely and cost effective manner.\nUsing knowledge and boiler fault finding experience to provide high levels first time fix and customer care.\nTo carry out the day to day responsive maintenance, service and repairs as instructed\nTo carry out servicing and safety checks on all heating systems and identify any necessary works required to ensure that the heating systems are in good order and comply to current gas/oil safety regulations\nAttend to boiler/system breakdowns, inspect and identify all works required in order that the heating systems functioning correctly\nTo make immediate decisions as regards the repair requirements should the original job order not reflect the actual works required and to inform the relevant director\nTo inform the tenant (with reason) when it is not possible to complete a repair within the first visit and make mutually agreed arrangements to return to complete and inform the relevant director\nTo ensure that all items of tenant’s furnishings are protected at all times.\nWork as part of a team to deliver planned and reactive maintenance within Education and Healthcare buildings.\nHave experience working in plantrooms and on various building services plant and systems.\nEssential requirements:\n\nExtensive experience as a Gas Engineer\nACS gas qualifications\nGas Safe registered.\nLPG qualifications ().\nF-Gas qualifications ().\nPlumbing and Heating qualifications - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.\nPreferred Electrical qualifications – NICEIC certification (18th Edition, etc.).\nA driving licence and the willingness to travel to different sites as required.\nAbility to read and understand building services drawings.\nBasic I.T. skills.\nOccasional ‘working away’ is required - this would be with plenty of advance notice and all expenses paid.\nOther\n\nBasic working week is 37.5 hours \nCan work up to a 57.5 hours week \nHourly rate of £22.00ph \nHours differ each day due to being required to work away etc\nIf you are actively searching for a new role and interested in hearing more on the above Gas Engineer position, please apply or contact using any of the methods below.\n\nConsultant Name: Caitlin Carpenter\n\nLandline: (phone number removed)\n\nEmail: (url removed)\n\nINDPERM
