Self-Employed Heating Engineers – Service & Repair Contract\nLocation: Mid Devon - Tiverton, Bradninch, Cullompton & Exeter\nContract: Housing Assocation\nPay: Up to £275/day + Call-Out Rates\nStart Date: Immediate\nContract Length: Ongoing\n\nExample Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading heating contractor, working within the local authority sector. They are seeking experienced, self-employed heating engineers to join an ongoing service and repair contract with a local Housing Association in Mid Devon.\n\nThe Role:\n\n * Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Checks and central heating repairs (all parts supplied).\n\n * Work within a small local radius.\n\n * Minimum commitment of 3 days per week (Monday–Friday).\n\n * Pre-booked appointments managed via the client’s PDA system.\n\n * Full PPE and kit provided.\n\n * Long-term, ongoing contract.\n\nRates & Payment:\n\n * £250/day (8 am – 5 pm).\n\n * Optional Call-Out: 1 week in 4\n\n * £550/week or\n\n * £50 per weeknight, £150 per weekend day.\n\n * Payment Terms: Weekly, 1 week in arrears.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified heating engineer.\n\n * Current ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1.\n\n * Own van and tools.\n\n * Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.\n\n * £2m Public Liability Insurance.\n\n * Valid DBS check (dated within 12 months).\n\nKey Benefits:\n\n * Reliable weekly pay – no invoicing hassle.\n\n * Flexible working – choose a schedule that suits you.\n\n * Long-term security with an established contractor.\n\nInterested?\nIf you meet the above requirements and would like to apply, please send your up-to-date CV and contact details.
