Overview
CORT Furniture Rental is hiring a full-time Fullfillment Center General/Operations Manager, known internally as the "Regional Housewares Manager (RHM)" in Fairfield, OH.
The Regional Housewares Manager (RHM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Housewares Facility operations, including inventory management, process flows, warehouse, logistics, laundry and kitting operations, financial/KPI planning, and personnel management. The RHM ensures the facility meets its budgeted costs and KPI goals while maintaining a strong safety culture and high levels of internal customer satisfaction (CORT Furniture Rental Districts). This is a hands-on role and depending on the size and needs of the facility, the RHM may be required to step into roles on the operations floor.
This is an onsite position performed from the CORT Housewares office/distribution center.
Salary: $90,000-$120,000 / year.
The typical schedule for this role is 5:30am to 3pm, with occasional weekends and flexibility with hours as needed.
Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee daily operations including warehouse, logistics, laundry, kitting and processing functions.
- Team Leadership: Hires, coaches, trains, and motivates staff; manages performance and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and operational excellence. Develops staff and creates succession plans.
- Inventory Management: Drive inventory management including procurement, maintenance, and asset control. Requests, purchases and maintains product inventory within budgetary guidelines to ensure proper availability and flow of products and ability to meet business needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Cost Control: Manage and forecast warehouse and payroll costs to ensure alignment with facility financial goals and key point indicators (KPIs). Monitor daily expenditures, analyze cost trends, and implement strategies to meet or exceed monthly targeted KPI forecasts. Proactively plan and collaborate with leadership to maintain budget discipline and drive operational efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations.
- Administrative Duties: Manages paperwork, payroll, and reporting; uses tools like Power BI, V2, Sphere WMS, Basware and Excel to track KPIs and support decision-making.
- Project Management: Leads warehouse improvement projects, including layout and process flow optimization, rack planning, and inventory reorganization.
- Collaboration: Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to achieve business goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree .
- 3-10+ years in operations or general management of a similar sized team/business required.
- Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, kitting, distribution, commercial laundry, and/or fulfillment .
- Experience managing P&L and KPIs .
- Experience with Microsoft office required.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Lean processes .
