Position Title: Fuel Service Technician

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Job Type: Full Time Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule: M-F, occasional night, weekend, or on call work as needed

Location: Onsite, Atlanta & surrounding Georgia area


The Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting electro-mechanical issues, completing equipment installations, and performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs. This position supports equipment reliability and uptime based on operational demand and service needs.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze equipment breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine necessary repairs for various equipment.

• Perform repairs professionally, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance.

• Follow all safety rules and properly dispose of hazardous waste.

• Open and close work orders with Dispatch; provide clear written and verbal service narratives; submit accurate paperwork promptly.

• Maintain proper inventory of parts and supplies in the service vehicle.

• Keep service vehicle clean, organized, and hazard-free inside and out.

• Ensure routine service van maintenance is completed (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.).

• Perform factory-authorized equipment modifications per specifications.

• Maintain necessary personal tools for safe and effective job performance.

• Follow customer safety and housekeeping guidelines while on-site.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or required by operational needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED required.

• 1–3 years of mechanical and electrical experience in a similar environment or equivalent vocational/technical education.

• Gilbarco Dispenser certification

• Experience or certification in one or more of the following : Verifone, Fuel Master, Gilbarco Passport, Veeder-Root

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.

• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and demonstrated instructions.

• Ability to safely operate personal hand tools.

Frequent lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs., and occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 lbs.
