Working with a fantastic business in Birmingham, we are recruiting for a Freight Operations Manager.\n\nThe primary focus will be Road and Ocean Freight, But knowledge of Air, along with Customs and Sales expereince is an advantage. So an "all-rounder" would be perfect.\n\nManaging a busy team, you will have:\n\n * \n\n Demonstrable exposure to Road and Sea freight within a freight forwarding environment.\n\n * \n\n Strong operational knowledge of freight suppliers, hauliers, and forwarding networks, with a sales background.\n\n * \n\n Sound Customs knowledge.\n\n * \n\n Commercial awareness with the ability to balance Customer Service and profitability.\n\n * \n\n Excellent negotiation skills along with industry contacts.\n\n * \n\n Hands-on leadership style with the ability to step into operational detail when required.\n\n * \n\n Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused.\n\n * \n\n Clear communicator, able to explain operational and commercial decisions effectively.\n\n * Ambitious, accountable and motivated to grow with the business
