Forming Machine Operator

3rd Shift: M-F 12:00 am - 8:00 am
Former Operators operate automated forming machines to produce pressed paperboard trays. Duties include:
- Operate forming machines according to prints and specifications. Once fully trained, standard practice is to operate two formers.
- Produce the required quantity within established specifications and tolerances.
- Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
- Inspect equipment before use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Working on a PC to enter production information.
- Be capable of acting as a floater as needed by supervision.
- Remove completed pallets from the end of multiple production lines via a pallet jack.
- Re-stock Corrugated, Pallets, Bags, and any other necessary supplies at multiple production lines.
- Refill cleaning bottles and sanitary supplies at multiple production lines as needed.
- Communicate with the Utility department regarding any items needed to stock production lines.
- Help with loading machines as spare time allows.
- Help make boxes for lines that the supervisor recommends.
- During peak periods, team members may be required to work extended hours as business needs dictate.

- Able to work prolonged periods on your feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Able to walk up and down stairs.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
