Pay: $18 – $20/hour (based on experience)
Position SummaryQuickPro Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Forklift / Assembly & Shipping Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Dayton, Ohio. This dual-role position combines assembly and production support with shipping and receiving duties. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, and operation sheets.
• Assemble industrial and automotive components using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
• Set up and operate machinery, tooling, and testing equipment as needed.
• Perform quality inspections and maintain accurate counts and documentation.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe

• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming products.
• Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts or tow motors.
• Organize, store, and manage materials to support production needs.
• Package and prepare products for shipment, including banding, shrink-wrapping, tagging, and labeling.
• Accurately maintain bills of lading and shipping/receiving documentation in computer systems.
• Coordinate transportation for customer and vendor shipments.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams (Purchasing, Production Control, Finance, and Quality) and external vendors/customers.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of forklift and manufacturing experience .
• Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team setting.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to production floor noise, vibration, and outside weather when handling shipments.
• Ability to use stairs for worksite access.
• Requires close vision and the ability to focus on detailed tasks.
