Food Service Supervisor- Part Time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Food Service Supervisor who will report directly to the Director of Cafeteria and Food Service Operations. This position is responsible for leading the food service staff in offering excellent customer service and completes all assigned duties.
This is a part-time, hourly position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Create an excellent experience for all customers.
- Supervise part-time employees, create daily production lists, and follow up to ensure they have completed all job duties.
- Work with the Director in monitoring food court vendors for compliance with agreements, especially hours of operation.
- Ensure staff are following their daily cleaning routine as well as the Master Cleaning Schedule.
- Assist the Director in resolving work-related issues, including providing input regarding part-time staff evaluations.
- Maintain sanitation and organization of all food and non-food storage areas.
- Creating and placing all orders assigned. Create and place all orders in the Director’s absence.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- ServSafe Manager Certified.
- Knowledge of running a cash register, cash handling, and cash reconciliation.
- High mathematical aptitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate's degree .
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license .
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: The minimum pay for this position is $20 per hour.
