WE'RE HIRING FLUX CORE (FCAW) STRUCTURAL WELDERS!

$140 PER DIEM AVAILABLE FOR 80+ MILES FROM JOBSITE

NSC has an urgent need for structural fluxcore steel welders for shipbuilding production welding in Sturgeon Bay, WI

Job description

• Use a wide range of welding filler metals and welding processes to perform structural welds in all phases of ship construction.
• Use Fluxcore (FCAW) welding process and demonstrate ability to pass hands-on test including 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical), and 4G (overhead) using .045 wire on 3/8 inch plate with V Groove and steel backing strip
• Set up welding machine and load wire a must.
• Weld all positions using both manual and mechanized processes and welds are required to satisfy all nondestructive test requirements (visual inspection).
• Perform these functions in environments of extreme heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions within the shipyard environment.
• Perform troubleshooting of minor welding equipment problems
