- OSHA certification or Occupational Health & Safety credential

- 3+ years of experience in safety or health & safety management

- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety regulations

- Experience with driver qualification files, compliance, and drug & alcohol program management

- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills

- Proficient with data analysis, reporting, and safety training

Job Description

The Safety and Equipment Manager is responsible for developing and managing workplace safety policies, equipment repairs, compliance programs, and safety training. This role ensures all company operations meet OSHA standards, maintains safety records, and coordinates driver compliance. You will serve as a liaison between management, drivers, and operations while overseeing preventive maintenance and risk management initiatives.

Job Duties

- Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures

- Maintain driver qualification, MVR, and compliance files

- Manage random drug & alcohol testing programs

- Conduct safety training, orientations, and certifications (e.g., forklift)

- Perform audits, inspections, and risk assessments to reduce workplace hazards

- Inspect vehicles, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety standards are met

- Schedule and oversee equipment repairs and preventive maintenance

- Prepare safety reports, compliance documentation, and accident reports

- Support driver recruiting, retention, and

- Collaborate with management on safety budgets and improvement plans

Schedule & Pay

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8-hour shifts, minimal overtime)
• Pay: $74,880 annually (equivalent to $36.00 per hour)
