Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our repair shop. As a fleet Mechanic, you will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues with company vehicles. You must have an extensive and in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining shop tools, equipment, supplies and preparing cost estimates.

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating the needs of the shop to the management and able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice and solutions. Must be able to work independently and with others. Must be trustworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles
  • Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
  • Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to management
  • Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
  • Planned and Preventative Maintenance for Company diesel vehicles and equipment

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or completion of an automotive diesel service technician training program ()
  • minimum 2 years experience diesel technician/service (required)
  • ASE certification or SAE certification ()
  • Strong communication skills, dependable, reliable and team player attitude (required)
  • Lift minimum 50 lbs (required)
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check
