Employing over 4,000 people worldwide, we are proud of the expertise, commitment and professionalism of our workforce.As part of the Denholm Group, Denholm Environmental delivers specialist industrial cleaning and environmental services using highly trained personnel and advanced equipment across the UK and internationally.Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced and motivated Fleet Mechanic to join our team in Grangemouth.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV/PSV Mechanic looking for a varied, hands-on role within a well-established and growing business offering long-term career development and specialist training opportunities.The RoleAs Fleet Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining the operational readiness, safety and reliability of our fleet and associated equipment.Working within the workshop and out on-site when required, you will carry out inspections, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles and specialist equipment to ensure the fleet remains fully compliant and operational.This role also offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills through training on vacuum equipment and other industry-specific systems.Participation in an on-call rota is required, with additional payment provided.Key ResponsibilitiesCarrying out routine maintenance and repairs to maintain fleet roadworthiness and DVSA complianceCompleting 6-weekly inspections and fleet defect monitoringPreparing and presenting vehicles for MOT inspectionsDiagnosing and repairing faults on HGVs, PSVs, vans, plant and associated equipmentResponding to roadside and on-site breakdowns when requiredUndertaking welding and fabrication work where necessaryMaintaining workshop equipment, tools and stock levelsSupporting the safe and efficient operation of specialist fleet equipmentMaintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environmentProviding guidance to employees on the safe use and care of vehicles and equipmentParticipating in the on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours or Saturday working as requiredAttending training courses and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledgeEnsuring all work is completed in line with company SHEQ standards and proceduresWhat We're Looking ForEssential:Qualified HGV or PSV MechanicLevel 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)Time-served mechanical experienceFull UK driving licenceAbility to drive cars and car-derived vansStrong understanding of vehicle roadworthiness and DVSA standardsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsFlexible approach to working hours and operational requirementsWillingness to participate in an on-call rotaStrong communication skills and ability to work under pressureSelf-motivated with a proactive attitudeDesirable :LGV Class 1 licenceWelding and fabrication experienceExperience working on specialist industrial or vacuum equipmentWhy Join DenholmAt Denholm, we invest in our people and provide opportunities to grow your skills within a supportive and safety-focused environment.You'll join a respected international organisation where no two days are the same, working alongside experienced teams on varied and specialist equipment while building a long-term career.If you're an experienced mechanic looking for a rewarding and varied role with excellent benefits and development opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and take the next step in your career with Denholm Environmental!TPBN1_UKTJ
