QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in a comparable work-related field. Two years of experience in transportation/logistics management. Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain or Business-Related Field . Strong knowledge of computer software applications word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and industry-related load board software. Verbal skills to convey complex information and procedures in a clear, professional manner. Strong writing skills to prepare reports, instructions, and informational material used in the conduct of the Organization’s business. Basic math skills to perform essential functions for accounting and quoting jobs. Reading skills to comprehend complex documents and the ability to interpret and communicate their meaning. Ability to multi-task, prioritizing among competing tasks, and to use critical thinking skills. Exhibit a high level of professionalism and ethics working amicably with the Owner, the Chief Executive Officer, Office Staff, Drivers, & Entertainment Staff. Possession of a valid driver's license. Must meet the Company’s employment and physical standards.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

COMPENSATION: Salary

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and executing Revenue goals with Director of Operations and Director of Client Support

2. Supervises and assists the Fleet Coordinators and Director of Maintenance to ensure that all maintenance and repairs have been completed properly and in a timely, cost-effective manner.

3. Develop amiable, genuine and supportive relations with drivers on a personal and professional level and collaborate with other departments to solve their problems.

4. Keep abreast with latest technologies to enhance company output.

5. Manage a dynamic Team to drive and improve company performance in cost, quality and service.

6. Recommends appropriate solutions to problems.

7. Closely manage the details of every driver/tractor and push to maximize the amount of working trucks on the road.

8. Work closely with and manage load planning to keep the drivers under dispatches that minimize delays and fully utilize the drivers’ time, and to meet revenue goals set forth by Director of Operations & Director of Client Support

9. Always answer the phone and respond to driver messaging in a timely manner.

10. Works with the Director of Maintenance to ensure all equipment is licensed, permitted and the proper documentation is available upon request by the Department of Transportation.

11. Work closely with safety to swiftly respond to any accident or incident.

12. Work with the Director of Safety and Driver Manager to route drivers in for scheduled training or counseling.

13. Work closely with safety to proactively manage all compliance related functions.

14. Works with the Leadership Team to enforce all company policies and procedures.

15. Assists Director of Maintenance with yard checks and yard maintenance.

16. Establishes and maintains sound business and financial procedures in accordance with Federal and State laws and internal company policies.

17. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations and Leadership team.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Continuous sitting, repetitive keyboard movements, fast paced, telephone and computer intensive

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to bend, stoop, and sit. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Office environment. Will need to walk between buildings in an outdoor environment.
