Job Title: Fleet Contracts Manager\n\nRef: CCENGCON81225\n\nLocation: London (Central)\n\nSalary: Flexible from £(phone number removed)\n\nExcellent Benefits Package including railway pension & travel benefits\n\nRole Type: Permanent\n\nRole Summary \n\nThis is an exciting time to join a busy rail company to manage rolling stock fleet contracts. This role has a high level of independence and responsibility overseeing contractual management of all engineering services across the designated fleet.\n\nYou will be responsible for ensuring engineering needs of the fleet are met – either via enforcing existing contractual agreements, sourcing and negotiating new supplier agreements or pursuing options within existing contracts.\n\nDuties will include:\n\nCollaborate with key stakeholders, including engineering services companies, manufacturers and regulatory bodies, to ensure engineering needs are met.\n\nUnderstand and translate practical engineering needs from the internal end users to viable commercial contracts with suppliers.\n\nCollaborate with commercial, legal and procurement teams where needed on new contracts sourcing / negotiation.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have:\n\nIdeally a Degree in any related discipline such as engineering, business studies or law.\nExperience of the rail sector in particular managing the procurement, negotiation or delivery of fleet related contracts. This may be from an engineering projects, fleet management, commercial or contract management position.\nIdeally have a strong understanding of basic engineering contracts within rolling stock such as TSSAs, TSAs, MSAs and/or other engineering services agreements.\nPractical and solutions minded – this role will be required to write and manage engineering contracts.
Legal, procurement and engineering technical support will be available however the ability to manage the contract itself, contracting processes and commercials will be the sole responsibility of the post holder.\nExcellent communication skills and strong at developing positive internal and external relationship to ensure practical delivery of contracts and effectively support the commercial interests of the company.\nIdeally familiar with basic procurement processes in the UK rail industry, including competitive tendering, approvals processes and safety certification. Support is available from the procurement department – especially for competitive tendering exercises under the Procurement act.\nGood problem-solving skills and the ability to assess complex engineering requirements and communicate needs with both internal and external stakeholders. Having a background in engineering would be highly advantageous.\nExperience working closely with a ROSCO or OEM on fleet contract delivery or management would be highly advantageous.\nMy client is an equal opportunities employer, that aims to foster a diverse and inclusive working environment.
