Fitter Welder Pay Rate and Hours

• Pay: $ 26-27/hr
• Hours: Monday through Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Additional work hours and weekends may be required as job duties demand.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with blueprints and technical drawings to accurately fit, weld, and assemble metal components. This role requires hands-on fabrication skills, strong math and measurement capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position is temporary.
Fitter Welder Job Description:

• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, and bolt components into place for welding.
• Examine and measure workpieces to ensure they meet quality and specification standards.
• Develop templates and models for welding projects using blueprint data and mathematical calculations.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
• Perform grinding, filing, and finishing work to remove rough spots and defects.
• Lay out and fit nozzles, supports, and couplings into shells as per blueprints.
• Operate forklifts and cranes as required for material handling.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting any defective tools or equipment.
• Complete all required production documentation and records accurately.
• Comply with all safety protocols and company regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Fitter Welder Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant welding or fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform accurate mathematical calculations.
• Proficient in using levels, tapes, protractors, and hand/power tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Must pass applicable welding tests including GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core).
