Fit-Out Construction Manager
Job Description
Role: Fit-Out Construction Manager\n\nWe are currently in the process of hiring a Fit-Out Construction Manager to aid in planning, organising, and executing multiple packages, on a large-scale construction project located on a framework based in Northwest London. The successful candidate will be working and reporting directly to the lead project manager and you will be expected to be fully responsible for the management of specific tasks while on-site.\n\nType: Freelance.\nLocation: Oxford.\nDuration: Short-Term\nSalary/Rate: Up to £375 per day, dependent on skills and experience. This role has been deemed to be outside IR35 if necessary, if it passes the IR35 assessment, this will be assessed for each candidate.\n\nAs a Fit-Out Construction Manager, your primary roles and responsibilities will include:\n\nDevelop and manage project plans, timelines, and\nCoordinate with architects, engineers, and\nIdentify critical path activities and mitigate\nOversee day-to-day site operations and construction\nEnsure compliance with design and manufactures specifications and installation\nEnsure compliance within the company and client safety\nManage site logistics, access, and\nEnforce site safety policies and\nConduct regular safety inspections and toolbox\nEnsure compliance with relevant HSE regulations and\nSupervise subcontractors, labourers, and site\nCoordinate between various trades and\nEnsure correct labour levels to satisfy the construction programme and monitor workforce productivity.\nMonitor workmanship and materials for compliance with quality\nReview and approve inspection and testing\nMaintain quality assurance\nWork with the commercial team to manage\nApprove on-site variations and manage change\nCoordinate delivery and storage of materials and\nVerify material specifications and quality on-\nMonitor stock levels and minimise\nMaintain accurate site records (e.g.
daily dairies, permits, RFIs, change orders).\nEnsure proper documentation of incidents, delays, and\nAssist in project handover and closeout\nIdentify and resolve construction-related issues in real-\nCoordinate solutions with the project and design\nManage disputes or conflicts on site effectively\nTo bear any other reasonable responsibilities and undertake any other reasonable duties:\nas the Board (where there is a Board of Directors) may from time to time agree\nor as may become necessary to meet the operating needs and requirements of the business in order to maintain agreed levels of \nEssential Criteria:\n\n3+ years of construction management or professional construction experience.\nGood interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work on own initiative.\nAn excellent eye and attention to detail.\nSMSTS or equivalent Construction Health & Safety Certificate.\nMust live within commutable distance of North-West London. \nIf you believe this role aligns with your experience and aspirations, please get in touch with Andreas: (url removed), or send in your CV for consideration, and we will be in touch
