PHIL also has a 401k plan, paid company holidays, offers educational assistance programs and other great benefits. About the Position: We have an opportunity for one Welder/Fitter (full-time, first shift) to join our team! Welders at Philippi-Hagenbuch, Inc. (PHIL) take finished product from the Torch, Press, and Machine Shop Departments and read prints to fit together and weld assemblies. At PHIL, each product we design, and manufacture is customized and made-to-order, so you won't be stuck working on the same thing each day. We primarily use flat MIG wire and out-of-position dual shield. All welding is done without fixturing and thickness of material generally runs 3/16" to 5/8".  Requirements of the Role:Print reading and fitting experience preferredFlat MIG wire welding experience neededOut-of-position dual shield welding experience preferredOpenness to travel (1 week per quarter or less) for onsite production installation and warranty work Ability to drive for travel requirements  Responsibilities:Adhering to all safety policies MIG and dual shield weldingWelding from a variety of positions, e.g. flat, vertical, and overheadVisually inspecting quality of work Grinding out inferior quality welds and reworking as neededReading and interpreting prints, assembly drawings, and Bill of MaterialsPerforming material handling operations as needed (training available)Operating a hand torch and hand plasma torchCross-training to assist in other departments as neededClocking to jobs using a barcode scanning system Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the department  Philippi-Hagenbuch/Welarco Fabrications is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
