Fire Systems Installation Engineer in London

We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fire Systems Small Works Installation Engineer to join their growing team.



You’ll be responsible for installing and commissioning fire detection and alarm systems on small projects across commercial and residential sites in the London area. This is a field-based role requiring good technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.



Key Responsibilities



* Install, commission, and test fire alarm systems to BS 5839-1 standards.



* Carry out small works, system modifications, and upgrades.



* Complete commissioning paperwork and handover documentation.



* Work closely with clients and project managers to ensure successful delivery.



* Maintain high standards of safety and quality on all projects.



Requirements



* Proven experience installing and commissioning fire alarm systems.



* Good knowledge of BS 5839 and industry standards.



* Experience with systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki.



* Full UK driving licence and ECS/CSCS Card.



* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.



Desirable



* FIA Units 1 & 4 or equivalent qualifications.



* Experience with emergency lighting or other life safety systems.



* IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness.



* Electrical qualifications (e.g. 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3).
