\nI'm currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing fire safety business for a Firestopping Engineer to join their Passive Fire Protection team. This is a home-based role with UK-wide travel, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a variety of sites while building a long-term career within the fire protection sector. Whether you're already working within passive fire protection or looking to further develop your experience in firestopping, this company offers ongoing training, support, and genuine career progression. As a Firestopping Engineer, you'll play an important role in maintaining and improving fire safety compliance across commercial and residential properties throughout the UK. Working autonomously while supported by an experienced management team, you'll be responsible for installing and repairing firestopping systems that prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and heat through buildings. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, can manage their own workload effectively, and enjoys being part of a professional and growing fire safety team.\n

Responsibilities:\n
- \n
- Installation of firestopping systems to walls, floors, and service penetrations
- Sealing gaps and openings using approved fire-resistant materials
- Ensuring fire compartmentation is maintained in line with regulations
- Reading and interpreting drawings and fire safety plans
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining existing firestopping installations
- Completing works in compliance with current safety standards and industry best practice
- Accurately recording works using PDA-based systems
- Keeping the Passive Fire Protection Manager updated on project progress
- Delivering excellent customer service while representing the business professionally on site
- Promoting the company's wider fire safety services to existing and prospective clients

Essential:\n

- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own diary
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Desire to build a long-term career within passive fire protection

Desirable:\n

- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection
- FIRAS Card
- Previous firestopping installation experience
- Experience with ablative batt systems
- Experience with fire barrier systems such as Rockwool fire barriers and curtains
- Experience using PDA/software systems for job reporting
