Reports To: Department Manager / VP of Operations

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fire Sprinkler Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems, NFPA codes, and construction documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review architectural, mechanical, and fire protection drawings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform material take-offs and labor calculations for fire sprinkler systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project scope and requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost histories.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Assist in value engineering and design-build projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Estimator or similar role in the fire protection industry.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and fire sprinkler system design.
• Proficiency in estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• [] NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field .
• 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler estimating or fire protection systems.
