An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire & Security professional to join the training team as a Fire & Security Tutor, delivering industry-leading technical training to apprentices and engineers.\n\nYou will play a key role in developing the next of Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) engineers, delivering classroom and practical training aligned with the Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems apprenticeship standard.\n\nWorking within a specialist training environment, you will help learners develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours required to succeed in the fire and security industry.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Deliver engaging technical training sessions covering fire, security, and electronic systems.\n\n * \n\n Teach apprentices how to install, commission, maintain, and fault-find fire and security systems.\n\n * \n\n Provide instruction on access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, and fire detection systems.\n\n * \n\n Support apprentices in understanding electrical principles, system design, commissioning, and compliance standards.\n\n * \n\n Assess learner progress through practical demonstrations, coursework, and assessments.\n\n * \n\n Provide mentoring and guidance to support learners’ technical development and career progression.\n\n * \n\n Maintain accurate training records and assessment documentation.\n\n * \n\n Work with internal stakeholders and employers to ensure apprentices achieve industry-recognised qualifications.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * \n\n Strong background as a Fire & Security Engineer or Technical Specialist\n\n * \n\n Experience with installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire and security systems\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, and Fire Alarm systems\n\n * \n\n Ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineers or apprentices\n\n * \n\n Strong communication and presentation skills\n\n * \n\n Passion for developing new talent in the fire and security industry
