Job title: Fire Safety Case Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria - 2 days per Month only. Remainder WFH.
We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements (4 or 5 day week)
Salary: Circa £60,000 Basic + Employee Benefits

What you’ll be doing:
· Producing Fire Hazard Assessments (including Fire Hazard Identification studies) in support of the Nuclear Site Safety Case
· Providing guidance to junior team members undertaking Fire Hazard Assessments
· Liaising with other stakeholders to inform the production of safety analysis and the implementation of safety case requirements
· Representing the Site Safety Case team in discussions with a range of stakeholders, internal and external safety/regulatory authorities, and other third parties.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
· Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (engineering or physical sciences)
· Previous experience in contributing to safety cases produced for regulated, high hazard industries as well as CFAST experience.
The Site Safety team:
The site safety case team is currently around 30 strong and is growing and developing as we undertake the Dreadnought and Site Redevelopment Programmes. We are currently producing cases covering Astute and Dreadnought build and commission and have responsibility for Periodic Review of Safety.
