Fire Door Engineer - West London - £43,774\n\nShift Pattern Breakdown : Days and occasional nights – Flexible\n\nShift Pattern Hours- 7am -7pm on an regular shift pattern\n\nTraining: Qualified Carpenter\n\nRole Start Date: 1st February 2025\n\nPreference: Permanent role\n\nOur client is one of the worlds leading facilities management companies providing superior cleaning & hygiene; maintenance and building; catering; security; landscaping and a wide range of other tailor-made services for customers throughout the Public and Private Sectors\n\nThey currently have a high profile contract is West London where they provide a high quality facility services designed to maintain the fabric and appearance of the estates buildings and are currently looking for two experienced Fire Door Engineers to join their installation and maintenance team.\n\nA typical Day will consist of:\n\nAs a Fire Door Engineer you will be expected to support the maintenance operation in place on the site.\n\t\nThis support is co-ordinated through the Engineering Manager who will guide and direct the daily duties of work.\n\t\nYou will provide a level of General Building Maintenance as part of a small multi-disciplinary building Service’s Team.\n\t\nThe Fire Door Engineer will be responsible for installing and inspecting fire-rated doors to ensure they are installed and functioning correctly and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.\n\t\nThe Fire Door Inspector will evaluate fire doors for proper installation, maintenance, and repair.\n\t\nThe individual will work independently or as part of a team to install, inspect and test fire-rated doors, provide detailed reports of findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.\n\t\nThere will be a requirement to maintain and install fire stopping throughout the building.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\n\nNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry \n\t\nNVQ in passive fire - (, not essential)\n\t\nA strong background in carpentry and joinery\n\t\nInstallation of fire doors in accordance with British Standard regulation and BM Trada Q-Mark and IFC schemes.\n\t\nMaintenance and repairs of fire doors in accordance with BM Trada Q-Mark and IFC schemes.\n\t\nExperience installing new sets\n\t\nExperience upgrading and maintaining existing doors and frames
