Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer\nLocation: Home-based – covering the North West area\nHours: 42.5 hours per week (door-to-door paid) + on-call rota\nSalary: Up to £37,000 + overtime + bonus\nEssential Requirements\n * Proven experience as a Fire & Security / Life Safety Systems Engineer\n * Strong fault-finding and first-time fix capability\n * Experience servicing, maintaining & commissioning fire and security systems\n * Full, clean UK driving licence\n * Able to pass DBS check and BS7858 security screening\n * IT competent (PDA, Microsoft Word & Excel)\nThe Role\nDue to continued expansion, EFT Systems – an established life safety and security company with over 50 years’ industry presence – is seeking an experienced engineer to support large service contracts and installation projects across the North West area.\nKey responsibilities include:\n * Reactive maintenance and servicing of fire & security systems\n * Small works installations and commissioning\n * Managing van stock and ordering equipment\n * Producing technical surveys to support quotations\n * Supervising subcontractors and supporting apprentices\n * Maintaining clear communication with customers\n * Completing documentation via electronic PDA\nWork will cover fire alarms, fire extinguishers, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, emergency lighting and monitoring systems.\nPackage & Benefits\n * Door-to-door pay (42.5 hours)\n * Overtime paid after 42.5 hours\n * Frequent overtime available\n * Discretionary bonus\n * Company vehicle, laptop & phone\n * 29 days holiday (rising to 32 with service)\n * Medicash (after probation)\n * Death in service cover\n * Pension scheme\n * Ongoing professional development, EFT invest in their people!\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking company offering strong long-term career prospects.
