Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Fire Alarm Service Tech to join our team! You will service, install, and repair alarm system wiring and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Follow a routine schedule to install, service, and program new fire alarm, security systems, and other low voltage systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage systems (primarily fire alarm systems)
• Identify system deficiencies to customers, communicate and document the deficiencies with the Service Manager, and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm systems (Annual Inspections).
• Monitor inventory of service parts and communicate needed truck stock with Service Manager.
• Actively communicate with the Service Manager throughout the day to schedule follow-up services, etc.
• Be available for a rotating on-call between colleagues to provide emergency services for customers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fire/security installation (BDA experience also but not required), maintenance, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, multi-meters, system testing tools.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work will fellow service technicians.
• Effective customer support ability.
• Microsoft excel familiarity.
