Job Description
Our client is a rapidly expanding fire detection and suppression company working across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an honest, well-organised, and proactive Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join their team.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their technical skills within a supportive business that values training, progression, and long-term career development.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe successful candidate will have experience interpreting drawings and carrying out 1st and 2nd fix Fire Alarm installations on construction sites. You’ll work closely with the project management team, ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.\n\nThis is a site-based position, with projects mainly located across London and the South East.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Installation of primary and secondary containment systems\n\n * 1st and 2nd fix cabling installations\n\n * Final fixing and addressing of fire alarm equipment\n\n * Identifying and resolving installation issues\n\n * Coordinating the delivery and off-hire of plant and materials\n\n * Maintaining accurate as-built drawings and records\n\n * Supporting project teams with RAMS, QA checks, and snagging\n\n * Building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and site teams\n\n * Assisting with all project stages — from installation to commissioning and servicing\n\nCandidate Requirements\n\n * Proven experience in fire alarm 1st & 2nd fix installations on construction sites\n\n * Based in or willing to travel across London and the South East\n\n * Able to work independently and as part of a team\n\n * Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills\n\n * Friendly, approachable, and highly organised\n\n * Full, clean UK driving licence\n\n * Technically minded and proactive\n\n * Minimum GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and English\n\nDesirable Qualifications\n\n * Manufacturer or industry-recognised fire alarm installation & maintenance training\n\n * Knowledge of fire suppression and detection systems\n\n * CSCS, PASMA, or IPAF certification\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive salary (depending on experience)\n\n * Travel expenses covered\n\n * Company pension and comprehensive benefits package\n\n * Excellent training and career progression opportunities\n\n * Supportive team environment with expert guidance\n\nIf you’re an enthusiastic and skilled engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking fire safety specialist, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nAbout Marble Talent\n\nAs engineering recruitment specialists, we pride ourselves on the ability to turn aspiring candidates at the beginning, middle or towards the end of their engineering careers into successful, professional engineers place at the right companies.
