Job Description
Fire Alarm Installation & Commissioning Engineer – London / M25No callouts. Straightforward fire installation and commissioning work. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to wire, fit, test, and sign off fire alarm systems to BS5839, and wants to do it without being dragged out in the evenings or dumped on chaotic sites.\n\nWhat’s on offer\n\nUp to £38K basic + bonus scheme (OTE up to £60K)\n\nReal scope to progress, including moving into leadership or technical development as the team grows\n\nNo callouts — evenings and weekends are yours again\n\nPaid travel time, door to door\n\nVan, fuel card, pension, and life cover\n\nTop-up training (FIA, BAFE, manufacturer courses)\n\nSupportive team and clear progression path\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nInstalling and commissioning fire alarm systems to BS5839\n\nProgramming, testing, and completing handover paperwork\n\nWorking on well-managed residential and commercial sites — no tower blocks, no carnage\n\nLiaising with project teams and clients to keep jobs moving smoothly\n\nHelping out with small works and upgrades where needed\n\nWhat you’ll need\n\nAt least 2 years’ experience in the fire industry\n\nSolid install experience with fire alarm systems\n\nSome commissioning skills (doesn’t need to be advanced, they’ll train you up)\n\nGood knowledge of BS5839 and open protocol panels\n\nFull UK driving licence and a clear communicator\n\nWho you’ll be working with: This is a privately owned fire firm with a great culture and a team of quality engineers who support each other.
You’ll be working on interesting sites, helping develop the projects division, and there’s real scope to progress within the business.
