Job Description

A Fire Alarm Engineer is required to carry out the servicing, testing, and breakdown support of fire alarm systems across a range of client sites. The role involves working both within the local area and, when necessary, travelling to sites nationwide.\n\nA sign-on bonus equivalent to one month’s basic salary is available for candidates who apply directly. This will be paid upon the successful completion of the probationary period.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Servicing, maintaining, and testing fire alarm systems\n\n * \n\n Identifying faults and responding to breakdowns\n\n * \n\n Attending a variety of client sites\n\n * \n\n Travelling within an allocated region and nationally when required\n\n * \n\n Participating in and adhering to an on-call rota\n\nEssential Criteria\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence\n\n * \n\n Electrical experience relating to fire alarm systems\n\n * \n\n Strong working knowledge of BS5839\n\n * \n\n Willingness to travel as required\n\n * \n\n Ability to take part in on-call duties\n\nDesirable Criteria\n\n * \n\n IPAF and/or PASMA certification\n\n * \n\n FIA qualifications\n\n * \n\n ECS / CSCS card\n\nWhat’s Offered\n\n * \n\n £37,000 basic\n\n * \n\n Paid door-to-door travel time\n\n * \n\n Extensive training opportunities\n\n * \n\n Use of a suitable company vehicle\n\n * \n\n 21 days’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service\n\n * \n\n Paid contractual sick pay, increasing with service
