Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the financial analysis of program operations, coordinated with PM and Accounting functions.
- Oversight of Budget vs Actual as it pertains to both expenses and invoicing.
- Provide financial leadership and coordination in the program planning and budgeting efforts to include program cash flow projections.
- Accountable for the program accounting operations for the company, to include monthly invoicing, periodic financial reports, a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Responsible for timely and accurate monthly invoicing according to contractual clauses and schedules.
- Experience with Government contracting FAR and DFAR rules, policies, and procedures. Firm Fixed and Cost-Plus contract type experience a plus.
- Experience submitting invoices within the Government systems, i.e. WAWF, ASSIST, etc.
- Experience with SDLRs and CLINs is a plus
- Experience with rate calculations for direct, indirect and SG&A rates
- Experience resolving invoicing and other contractual issues with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
General Expectations:
Highly motivated accounting/ finance professional, who has experience with government contracting. Has knowledge in developing and maintaining internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP. The role will also involve:
· Analyzing financial statements, budget reports, and expenditure data.
· Developing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
· Monitoring spending and ensuring that costs align with government contract guidelines.
· Conducting financial risk assessments and recommending corrective actions as needed.
· Collaborating with contract managers, program managers, and procurement teams to optimize financial performance.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business required.
2. Government contract management experience highly .
3. CPA or CMA, .
4. Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Proficient user of an ERP systems, CETEC .
Work Environment Requirements:
1. Minimal travel required.
2. Office, Shop Floor & Warehouse environment.
