Responsibilities
As our Finance & Operations Manager, you will:
Finance Leadership:
- Manage all financial functions, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
- Develop and maintain accurate job costing and profitability tracking for projects.
- Prepare and present financial statements, forecasts, and KPI dashboards to ownership.
- Establish financial policies, internal controls, and reporting systems to ensure compliance and scalability.
- Partner with external accountants, auditors, and insurance carriers to ensure compliance with industry and tax standards.
- Support ownership in strategic decision-making through financial modeling and scenario planning.
Operational Oversight:
- Align financial reporting with project management operations (budgets, estimates, change orders, subcontractor costs).
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure jobs are delivered on budget and schedule.
- Oversee vendor and subcontractor payment processes and negotiate terms where beneficial.
- Evaluate and implement systems/software to improve efficiency (QuickBooks, Xactimate, Salesforce, Paylocity, etc.).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational SOPs.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA or CPA ).
- 7+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 3+ in construction, restoration, or contracting.
- Deep knowledge of job costing, construction billing, and financial analysis.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and construction management tools.
- Proven track record of improving profitability and operational efficiency.
