Edyn is a design-led aparthotel company operating under three distinctly different brands—Locke, SACO, and Cove—competing across several segments. By blending the needs of home-living, business, and leisure travel, Edyn is filling a supply gap, fuelled by private equity ownership, and rapidly expanding into key European gateway cities.
We are recruiting for a Finance Operations Manager to join Edyn’s Finance Operations team. This team of around 20 people covers Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control, ensuring the smooth delivery of financial transactions for the group, which now operates across eight countries. The role will support the business in optimising technology to streamline and simplify processes. Edyn is a fast-paced and energised company, seeking someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills and the drive to realise both personal and company potential.
Working as part of the wider Finance team, the Finance Operations Manager will be a passionate and positive finance professional, contributing to continuous improvement and driving results through structured ways of working that challenge existing practices. The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of financial principles and a track record of supporting change in business processes. Attention to detail is essential.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Act as a deputy for the Head of Finance Operations, enabling the successful leadership and performance of the c.20 person Finance Operations team.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including reviewing month-end tasks completed by transactional teams (bank reconciliations, journal sign-offs, and period-end close), and provide feedback to drive improvement.

Follow up on internal and external issues, conducting root cause analysis to resolve recurring problems, including data analysis and reconciliation exercises.

Represent Finance Operations in the implementation of new business systems and support the evolution of existing systems.

Develop and implement a transactional control environment plan in partnership with the Head of Finance Operations.

Review process maps and documentation for transactional processes, ensuring they are current and accurate.

Work with team managers to coach delivery teams on process efficiency and automation.

Provide training and guidance to staff on finance procedures, including cash, P2P, expenses, and debt collection.

Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Managers to support team performance and talent development.

Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive change.

Standardise the issuance of control reports across transactional finance areas, including customer ledgers (B2C, B2B, cancellations/no-shows), creditor ledgers, and PO compliance (prior to invoice and GRNI).

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness.

Skills and Knowledge Required

Experience delivering transactional finance processes and managing day-to-day finance operations.

Experience and Qualifications

Preferably a finance qualification or significant experience in transactional finance delivery.

Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.

Proven examples of problem-solving, including working with systems to deliver improvements (e.g., ERP, AP, AR, PMS or equivalent).
