Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Field-Testing Engineer / Network Tester to join our team in Bellevue, WA. This role is highly hands‑on and involves extensive field mobility testing, device validation, and interoperability testing across major wireless technologies including LTE and 5G NR.
Job Title: Network Tester 5 (Field Testing Engineer)
Location: Bellevue, WA (Fully Onsite – Field Based, 4/5 days in a car testing)
Contract: 12 Months
Role Summary:
As a Network Tester, you will execute field test plans, validate wireless device performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure compliance with operator FIT requirements. You will test various devices in live networks, prepare field routes, analyze results, and work closely with engineering teams to drive product quality.
This is an onsite, field‑heavy role involving daily travel to test locations (approx. 30% travel).
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma required (Degree not mandatory).
- 8–10 years experience in a Project/Program Manager role.
- PMP Certification — Nice to have.
Required Technical Skills:
- 5+ years in telecommunications engineering or wireless field testing.
- Experience with wireless technologies: CDMA, EVDO, LTE, 5G NR.
- Hands-on experience running FIT plans for major operators (Verizon, US Cellular, etc.).
Field Test Tools (Highly Desired)
- Qualcomm tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST
- Post-processing tools: WindCatcher, Actix, XCAL/XCAP-M
- Drive test tools: TEMS, Nemo, Spirent NOMAD/MUSE/Datum
Technical Background
- OS experience: Windows, macOS, Linux
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware/software/embedded systems
- Scripting with Python/JavaScript (required)
- AI/ML tool familiarity ()
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
