We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technician specializing in mechanical and electronic security solutions to join our dynamic team. As a Field Tech, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems, ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.

  • Execute on-site installation and configuration of mechanical and electronic security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems.
  • Ensure proper integration and connectivity of security components for optimal functionality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on security equipment to ensure ongoing performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, minimizing downtime for clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns related to security solutions.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to end-users, both remotely and on-site.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, configurations, and service calls.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Train end-users on the proper usage and functionalities of security systems.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and updates in the field to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum two years basic carpentry experience
  • Power Limited Technician certificate or low voltage experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of welding machines, sanders and basic hand tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Experience in metal work (cutting, bending, welding), including use of Bondo
  • Ability to follow written, visual (drawings or images), and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Position requires a valid driver’s license, insurability to drive under Organization’s insurance policy, and valid DOT certificate
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Ability to travel, work evenings, weekends, and overnight as needed
  • OSHA10 Certification (certification can be received after hire)

Hourly Rate: $25-$35 an hour DOE

Hours: Standard business hours are 8am-5pm

Additional Information

Employment for this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, MVR and drug screening. This role is classified as safety-sensitive, and as such, is subject to a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy. Drug screening will be conducted in accordance with federal regulations, including but not limited to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and applicable state and local laws. A positive drug test or failure to comply with the screening process will result in disqualification from employment.
