GENERAL PUMP COMPANY, INC. – FIELD TECH (3rd Man/Woman) SAN DIMAS, CA FACILITY
General Pump Company, Inc. (GPC) is the premier professional water redevelopment and pump equipment contractor engaged in designing, installing, repairing, and servicing critical water pump facilities throughout Southern California and the Central Coast. With two locations in San Dimas and Camarillo, GPC maintains a high focus on pump engineering, diagnostics, and customer relations, and has been the leading expert in the water well industry for over seventy years.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact with Foreman and Project Manager to operate necessary equipment, coordinate tools and supplies necessary to remove and install pumps, motors and appurtenances and conduct rehabilitation activities on water wells and pumps.
- Follow work order documentation on activities and identify all necessary equipment needs, tool requirements, shop and field orders.
- Listen and follow directed instructions.
- Work around traffic.
- Capable of lifting over 50 pounds.
- Work site setup and tear down done in a safe and organized manner.
- Well rehabilitation with chemicals in a variety of applications.
- Work in a dynamic, team environment with constant communication between all departments and both Company locations (San Dimas and Camarillo).
Qualification Requirements/Preferences
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Class “B” or Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License in good standing
- Good written and verbal skills
- Good leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast pace, dynamic, and team environment with constant communication between departments.
- Ability to acquire a Hazmat Endorsement on CDL (requires TSA clearance).
Other Qualifications Desired:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with pump and well services equipment and support tools for cleaning wells.
- CCO Crane Certification to operate cranes
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL
- Welding and Torching basic experience
- Electrical basic experience

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
