Job Description
A market-leading manufacturer is seeking a proactive Technical Sales Engineer to support continued growth across the Midlands, South of England, and Wales. The company supplies engineered solutions and technical support to a wide range of sectors, including food processing, packaging, logistics, printing and general manufacturing.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical and commercial ability who thrives in a customer-focused, field-based role.\n\nBenefits \n\nCompetitive salary + annual performance bonus\nCompany vehicle from fleet, suitable for the role\n38.75-hour working week (08:30–17:00, flexibility expected)\n23 days annual leave\nPension scheme and industry-specific training\nCareer development within a respected international organisation\nRole Responsibilities of a Technical Sales Engineer\n\nYou will manage and develop sales in line with the UK business plan, supported by internal technical, production, and customer service teams.\n\nManaging and developing sales with existing accounts while generating new business.\nCreating structured visit plans using CRM and sales data, focusing on priority customers.\nIdentifying opportunities, solving customer application problems, and providing technical advice.\nNegotiating and reviewing contracts, ensuring effective and profitable customer relationships.\nReporting market intelligence and completing accurate CRM-based sales reports.\nManaging territory efficiently with strong time and travel planning.\nCollaborating with internal departments to ensure excellent service and on-time delivery.\nAttending sales meetings, quarterly reviews, and completing required training (internal/external, face-to-face or online).\nSpecification of a Technical Sales Engineer\n\nExperience in technical sales, field engineering, or industrial account management.\nKnowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, belting, or automation is beneficial.\nStrong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.\nSelf-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently across a large geographic area.\nFull UK driving licence.\nIf you’re a technically minded salesperson or engineer looking to grow within a leading industrial solutions provider, we’d like to hear from you.\n\nDisclaimer\n\nAt Venatu Recruitment Group, your right to privacy is important to us.
