⚙️ Field Service Technician – A/V & Electro-Mechanical Systems (Florida)
Location: Orlando, FL (Statewide Coverage)
Pay: $24.00–$33.00/hr (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Travel: 80%+ (Most work is local, but expect a lot of daily and statewide travel)

You’ll support A/V and electro-mechanical systems in hospital ORs, clinical rooms, surgical suites, and procedural environments. Some days are scheduled PMs — some are urgent break-fix calls. Most are a mix of both.
What You’ll Do
Daily Responsibilities
✔ Install, repair, and maintain A/V and electro-mechanical systems
✔ Support OR teams, surgical staff, and biomedical departments
✔ Diagnose issues using multimeters, pressure/vacuum meters, frequency counters
✔ Perform FRU-level troubleshooting and replace faulty components
✔ Mount displays, route cables, and configure A/V setups
✔ Document service activities, parts used, and repair notes
✔ Travel throughout Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, etc.)
✔ Communicate updates, timelines, and issues to hospital staff
✔ Manage your own scheduling, routing, and travel

Required Skills & Experience
✔ 3+ years servicing electro-mechanical, A/V, or similar equipment
✔ Ability to diagnose down to the FRU (Field Replaceable Unit)
✔ Skilled with DMMs, testers, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
✔ Strong cable knowledge (HDMI, USB, Coax, Cat6)
✔ Experience mounting displays and configuring A/V systems
✔ Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, crawl, and work in tight or elevated areas
✔ Strong customer service presence — especially in clinical settings
✔ Comfortable with 80%+ travel
✔ Valid driver’s license + reliable transportation

⭐ CCTV, low-voltage, or A/V integration experience
⭐ CompTIA A+, electronics coursework, or similar
⭐ Experience in clinical or medical environments
⭐ Strong Word/Excel documentation skills
