Hiring Profile – Operations Technology Professional (OTP Technician)

Overview:
We are seeking a Technology Professional (Operations Technology Pro – OTP Technician) to join our team supporting McDonald’s restaurant locations. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing a wide range of technology equipment in existing stores and new builds. The position includes hands-on work with Point of Sale (POS) systems, IP cameras, wiring, networking, servers, and peripheral devices, as well as support for new stores and prijects. Training is provided, but previous technology or field service experience is strongly .

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain POS equipment across 39+ store locations

• Support projects in new store builds (installations, setups, testing)

• Troubleshoot and resolve daily  work orders

• Trace, run, and terminate Cat5/6 

• Program and install IP cameras and DVR systems

• Image and configure registers and computers with new Windows loads

• Configure and deploy networking/IP schemes for desktops and cameras

• Install and maintain peripheral devices (printers, bump bars, scanners, kitchen controllers, time clocks, monitors, back-office PCs, etc.)

• Maintain and monitor building security systems (training provided)

• Use power tools safely for installations

• Participate in occasional on-call shifts

• Primary shift is scheduled for weekdays ( However over nights and weekends are expected )

Qualifications

Required / Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Reliable transportation (truck is a plus)- the role involves daily travel across multiple store locations, approximate travel radius within 50 miles of San Antonio 

• Ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic Windows computer skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional on-call

• Must pass background check and drug test

• Employment eligibility verification (I-9 / work authorization)

Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• 1+ years of technology school or training

• POS equipment experience (repair, installation, troubleshooting)

• Basic networking skills (IP addressing, subnetting, remote connectivity)

• Experience with security camera systems and DVRs

• Experience with imaging and configuring computers

• Familiarity with cabling standards and termination (Cat5/6, coaxial)

• Experience in a fast-paced retail or restaurant environment
