Futura Converting it's opening a new branch in the United States for Plusline, the new company of the group specializing in the development of advanced technological solutions for the primary and secondary packaging of tissue products. It has its headquarters in Bologna’s packaging valley, and a team of highly experienced technicians and professionals behind it, whose in-depth knowledge of the product and the production process guarantees reliability and results.

We are looking for Field Service Technicians that after a training period in Italy will help us grow in the United States.

This position requires frequent travel to customer sites to assist with installation, servicing and repair of automated packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:

• Be able and willing to travel a minimum of 75% of the time to perform tasks at customer sites.
• Assist and learn from experienced field service technicians and machine assemblers.
• troubleshoot packaging machines and resolve mechanical, electrical, and programming issues.
• Communicate effectively with field service advisors to resolve technical issues.
• Establish a positive and professional relationship with customer personnel.
• Document pertinent technical and customer information to facilitate an ongoing business relationship.
• Produce and submit accurate trip and expense reports in a timely manner.
• Be proactive at learning new components and design principles as they are introduced.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a good electrical and mechanical background in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the packaging manufacturing industry.
• Prefer candidate have knowledge of automated machine controls.
• Must be able to read and follow blueprints, machine drawings, and electrical drawings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must have a two year technical degree in machine automation or related field or a high school diploma and two years of demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or a related technical field.

• Programmable Logic Controllers: 2 years on Rockwell and Siemens ()
• Maintenance: 1 year ()
